Viewing Your Horses:
If you want to see your horses, click on the "Your Horses" link in the left side navigation (it may be under the ads if you don't see it right away).
You will see a list of your horses.
To view a horse listing, click the name of the horse. To edit a listing, click "Edit Listing."
When editing a listing, you can change the information listed about your horse. You can also upload photos of your horse. Regular listings are allowed three photos, while featured listings are allowed five photos.
To upload a photo, hit the browse button to find the photo on your computer. Once you've chose a photo, hit the Upload button to upload it. Make sure you hit the Upload button before saving the listing or the photo will not appear on the listing.
Editing Your Account:
You can change the information in your account, such as your e-mail address, mailing address or phone number. You can also change your password. Do this by clicking the "My account" link in the left side navigation.
Viewing Exams:
Owners must approve their horses' exams before they are published and before the horse listing can be published. To do this, click the "Your Horses" link in the left side navigation.
You will see the list of horses that are yours, and the exams attached to those horses. You can see which ones you have approved, which ones were not approved and which ones are waiting for approval.
To view an exam, click on the name of the exam. Look through the exam carefully. At the bottom of the exam, you will see a red box that says "If you are the owner of this horse, please approve this exam." Click on the link in that box to approve the exam. You will be taken to a form with a Yes or No question. Simply hit "Save" and the staff at Vet-Checked Horses will be notified that your exam has been approved or not approve.
If you are on the "Your Horses" page, you can also click the "Approve Exam" link to approve or unapprove your exam.
Viewing Exams:
You must purchase an exam first using PayPal and going through the shopping cart process. You will receive an e-mail notification once you have purchased an exam and it is available for viewing.
To view your exams, go to the "View Purchased Exams" link in the left side navigation. You will see a list of exams that you have purchased. You have seven days to view an exam. When that time is up, it will disappear from the list and you will have to re-purchase the exam if you want to see it again after seven days. You can print out the exam, but please do not distribute it.
To view an exam, click on the exam's name.
The score represents an average of three scores given by veterinarians who evaluated the lameness on a circle in both directions and in a straight line. A score of 9-10 represents a horse that does not show any signs of lameness under the conditions of the exam. A score of 7-8 represents a horse that shows signs of an inconsistent lameness (just an occasional step, but not every stride) during the exam. A score of 5-6 represents a horse that shows a consistent lameness during the exam but only while trotting. A score of 3-4 represents a horse that shows a consistent lameness while walking. A score of 1-2 is a horse that has difficulty standing on the leg.
